A CTG's project wins top national award

Recently, our project — key quality control technologies for low-heat cement concrete dam construction — won the first prize at the 2025 China Association for Quality (CAQ) Quality Technical Award, the highest honor in China's quality technology field.
Building a concrete dam is a bit like baking a giant cake: you prepare the mold, pour in the ingredients, and wait for it to cool and set. But what does this technology mean in practice? In massive structures, uneven heat can lead to dangerous thermal cracking. This innovation, drawn from landmark projects like Wudongde and Baihetan Hydropower Projects, effectively controls temperature rise and cracking, providing valuable insights and replicable solutions for similar projects.
